All AHJs updates
- Update: An outside emergency disconnect is required at all one- and two-family dwelling units when altering/replacing the service or panel.
- Effective Date: As per the 2023 NEC.

AHJ and utility updates
- Update: California, Texas, and Arizona have made some changes in AHJs and utilities as shown below and the Solargraf utility and AHJ database is updated as per the latest changes.
California updates
- City of Newport Beach: EMT conduit is not allowed for exterior applications.
- City of Riverside: When derating the main breaker, include the load calculation with the panel schedule in the plan-set.
- City of Lake Forest & East Vale: Battery backup designs, add the load calculation with the panel schedule to the plan-set.
- County of Los Angeles: Check for oak trees on the site address; if present, they must be shown on the plan-set.
- Utility of Southern California Edition: For GMA Interconnection, the Fused AC Disconnect must be located within 2-3 ft from the SCE Meter. Specific dimensions and installation requirements apply.
- City of Livermore: Livermore requires a separate permit for EV project.
County of Contra Costa: City requires that all sheets have a 3.5″ x 6″ column (box) on the right side for city comments and stamps.
Arizona updates
- City of Peoria: A photo of the service panel schedule is now required on the plan-set. Breakers must be accurately labeled.
- City of Surprise: Plan-sets must meet specific requirements, including a clear space for approval stamps and individual file uploads in landscape orientation.
Texas updates
- Oncor Utility: Oncor Utility requesting Plat Map instead of Vicinity Map.
