We are constantly striving to expand our offerings and provide comprehensive solutions to meet our customers’ evolving needs. The newly launched features will optimize your solar designs, make your proposals more efficient, and drive greater project success.
Design updates:
Power Control System (PCS): Configure more extensive solar and storage systems (within NEC 120% rule) while avoiding main panel upgrades and additional equipment costs. PCS improves the economics of the solar system by allowing you to control solar and storage operations dynamically. Learn more about PCS in our latest blog.
Retain 3D imagery: When 3D view is enabled, Solargraf will retain the same 3D image of the property in the proposal’s System Design section. The camera perspective remains the same when sending the proposal or downloading it as a PDF.
Financing updates:
Partnership with LightReach and Everbright: Solargraf shade reports are now approved for use by both LightReach and Everbright. Installers with Solargraf can access third-party ownership (TPO) products from both platforms.
Permit design updates:
Electrical validation upgrade for string inverters: Solargraf has added new validations for power, updated current, and minimum/maximum string size in the Electrical Design tool.
AHJ and Utility database update: Updated 16,000+ AHJ and Utility records to ensure delivery of AHJ/Utility submission-ready permit designs. Read our latest blog on AHJ updates.
C&I updates:
Bill of Materials (BOM) calculator for C&I: Solargraf has added a BOM calculator for commercial projects based on Enphase IQ8P—3P microinverter systems, improving the materials planning process. Installers can also estimate project costs, avoiding overruns and minimizing material waste for Enphase systems.
Global updates:
Solargraf launches in the Netherlands: Solargraf is now live in the Netherlands. Solar installers in the Netherlands can now harness its power to design, sell, and manage solar projects with unparalleled ease and efficiency.
Stringing in Germany: Users in Germany can now perform stringing and download the output in PNG format on tool’s solar and electrical design tab.
Others:
Annual and monthly billing support for NEM projects: Users can now set the billing cycle as annual or monthly in Solargraf via the utility settings at the project and company levels. The billing cycle defines the frequency at which customer bills are generated per the tariffs.
Improved CSV upload: No need for a standard template; now import custom CSV data to Solargraf directly. Solargraf has advanced input configurability with custom CSV start date, usage interval (60 min, 15 min), units (kWh, MWh, Wh), empty rows, and DST support.
Set project start month: Installers can now set the project start month. The impact of setting the project start month can be seen in the proposal with production, consumption, and monthly breakdown data.
Change in loss settings for microinverters: To improve accuracy, editing options for both mismatch and DC wiring loss for microinverter-based systems have been disabled and the default loss value is set to zero.
Set O&M cost: Users can now set up O&M cost and loss setting as optional. This will allow comparisons between different hardware warranties and replacement costs. Multiple battery replacements are also supported.
Production engine upgrade for string inverters: The Solargraf production engine has been upgraded from a PV-watts-based engine to an NREL SAM-SG hybrid engine for all string inverter systems (with or without optimizers) to produce highly accurate production estimates.
We believe the new features added to Solargraf are impactful and will help streamline the solar design process. From configuring bigger solar systems with PCS to accessing TPO products and a dedicated BOM calculator for C&I, Solargraf is empowering solar installers with innovation and excellence.
