California AHJ updates
Update: California made changes in Monterey Park and Los Angeles AHJs. Solargraf AHJ database is now updated.
- City of Monterey Park: Separate permit set is required for battery projects. If you have PV with battery system, you must send permit for the battery along with the PV with battery systems.
- City of Los Angeles: For battery projects, a disconnect is required for electrical hazards that shall be located within the 6ft of the main service panel, on the same wall plane, not separated from one another by walls, gates, fences, vegetation, or architectural features of the building.
Governing code updates:
Ensure your solar projects stay compliant. Update your solar permit processes with Solargraf’s latest AHJ and utility changes!
Utility updates:
Update: Utilities from Minnesota and Texas have made changes and Solargraf’s utility database is now updated.
- Minnesota:
Rochester public utilities: Production meter needs to be #6 American Wire Gauge (AWG) as this is the minimum wire size expected for the terminals. - Texas:
Hilco Electric Cooperative: HILCO does not approve of line side taps and has allowed using Milbank K4977 connector.
